At this point in time in Ataraxion, Rose's Shadowkissed abilities have yet to manifest. Right now, the main thing you need to be aware of is that she is resistant to compulsion & she is prone to solve a disagreement with her fist! I will update this post with a handy little form once the other abilities come into play!

A B I L I T I E S.

Rose is a Dhampir (Half-Human, Half-Vampire) and she's Shadowkissed to boot. That means... not much for most of you but if your character happens to be of the undead persuasion or even died once, then this will/could concern you.

N.B. It may also concern you if your character is kind of a dick and Rose is likely to want to punch them in the face. Skip down to violent tendencies for that one.

• Spidey Sense
  
  
  Rose has the ability to sense Vampire's (Called Strigoi in her Canon). It doesn't have pinpoint accuracy - if she's surrounded by a bunch of undead people she'll just know they're around but won't be able to tell who it is. Now with different Vampires in different canons, the rules are never the same so I'll leave it up to you if she can sense it in your character or not. Maybe there's some weird glitch in the setting that interferes with her abilities.

• Sixth Sense
  
  Rose can also see dead people. (You know you just read that like the little kid from Sixth Sense). For the most part this isn't an issue because she keeps a mental guard up that keeps them away. It can be used as a weapon of sorts. Most people will not be able to see or be attacked by the spirits that Rose channels but if you are dead or even died once then you potentially could.
  
  Spirits can't physically hurt a Vampire in her canon, but they sure can make life hard for them. They'll try and attack (without any success but bless their dead souls for giving it a go) the nearest person who they consider to be unnaturally alive.
  
  (This could potentially apply to any character that was brought back through supernatural means; i.e Buffy Summers (BTVS) Jack Harkness (TW) Peter Hale (TeWo) to name a few).
  
  The chances of this happening in the game are low because letting the spirits through hurts Rose as well but she's discovered it can come in use when she's in a jam so it might come up.
  
  Again - different rules for different canons so glitches can happen. It's up to you if your character can see/be a target for the Spirits or not.
• Compulsion
  
  In canon, Dhampirs are resistant to it - they can still be compelled of course, but they're harder to compel than an average human and Rose seems to be more resistant than other Dhampirs.
  
  I'll always try and respect your characters canon with this. IE. A TVD Original (Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah etc) or say, Eric Northman from SVM/True Blood? I'm going to assume every time that they have no problems compelling Rose because they're older/more powerful in that sense.
  
  Anyone else? I will literally roll a dice to see if she tries to fight the compulsion or not. She may well fall under it anyway but making a note here so you know how it works with her.
• Violent Tendencies
  
  Rose has a habit of hitting first and asking questions later. Impulse control - not really a thing she's learned. At all. This is sort of a heads up that she is prone to problem solving with her fists so please be aware - I am so all for negative CR with characters, it's just that negative CR with Rose can result in a broken nose.
  
  For example: See every single game she has ever been in and canon.
• The Bond
  
  This doesn't appear on Rose's permissions form because she can't actually read minds like Charles Xavier. But if you play in a game with Rose that has Spirit Bond noted next to it, then the following is worth knowing;
  
  In any game that Vasilisa Dragomir is present, where their Spirit Bond is in place, any time you talk to Lissa, Rose can in theory have overheard the whole conversation. She can not only hear Lissa's thoughts, get impressions of her emotions but she can see through her eyes (though not take control). In other words, constant spy cam. I'm not saying she WILL hear and everything but for a conversation between Lissa and somebody to be private, Lissa needs to actively try and keep Rose out of her head. If I don't see her block Rose out, then I assume it's possible Rose could have listened in and Rose isn't always great at not using what she hears in a conversation down the line.

  N.B. Even if it's not listed here, I am perfectly fine with your character doing anything that comes with their powers or skills. You never need my permission for your character to act ICly! Whether they want to deduce (Sherlock), profile (Criminal Minds) or smell that she is different (True Blood/Southern Vampire Mysteries, Teen Wolf etc).
  
  Hug/Kiss/Badtouch/Punch/General Fisticuffs and Shenanigans?: Go for it.
  
  Fighting: Feel free to do as you wish in this realm, I only ask that you don't try and over-run me - give me a chance to respond don't just decide you hit my character over the head and she passes out. Chances are - you hit her hard enough, I'll have her pass out myself. You want to go for a bit of non-lethal stabbing, heck I'm ok with that.
  
  Maiming: There will be no removal of body parts or internal organs without discussing with me first (unless its a kidney - you may take ONE kidney and no more).
  
  Murder: That depends on the game. The only one on the NO list is Teleios because potentially perma-death is no beuno but everywhere else? I'm open to plotting.
  
  Mind-reading?: Sure why not - ya know provided that's something your character can do. Mind-reading in the sense that you're using my characters thoughts to alter the way you respond and I might get a tad Grr Argh.
  
  Rape: Not something I am all giddy to explore however, if it suits the story-line and preferably if its an attempt and not an actual rape... you'd need to discuss with me and no guarantee's I'll roll with it.
  
  Threadhopping/Threadjacking: Go for it! More realistic that way anyway. That said - if I don't want it to happen my post will have [Closed] in the title.
  
  Canonpuncture: (Spoilers from beyond her Canon Point). To a degree yes, she doesn't need to know a gazillion spoilers but this is something we can discuss.
  
  Fourthwalling: Well you can try. Rose will presume you are smoking crack and if you go on about it you might get punched in the face for your troubles. Try asking her if she sparkles too. Go on. I dare ya.
  
  S E X Y . T I M E S
  
  I'm fine with most things but both I and my character are not into the overly kinky. Anything that belongs in a toilet, bestiality (humanoids might be one thing, if it oinks or bleats is a whole other) or incest all fall under the title of no thanks.
  
  That being said it's pretty hard to ever offend me. I'm fine with any sort of language you want to use, but I will tread carefully so as not to cross any of your lines. When in doubt, feel free to shoot me a PM about it if you feel more comfortable.
  
  This character also happens to be straight so the chances of her getting seriously involved with another female are highly, highly unlikely. Sorry, I just don't think it would be very in her character to swing both ways.
  
  Is fade to black OK?: I'm cool with hand-waving if you'd be more comfortable with that. I do prefer not to ONLY because I like to know how my character thought/felt in intimate situations but that's far from a deal-breaker. I'm also fine if you would prefer to RP it off comm. so the whole world doesn't have to read what happens.
